Things have gotten much better lately. School is going great, people have stopped being pricks, and my family is starting to heal from its loss. Certain recent events have caused my confidence to soar in multiple ways, and I'm happier than I've been in a long time.
Especially since I decided to change my major.
After giving it thought, I decided that web design is not my calling. I can see it always being a hobby, and maybe even something that will make me money on the side, but not as a career. At the end of this semester, I'm switching my focus from Web Design to theatre and Education. I'm feeling great about this choice to switch, and I'm very excited. Becoming a theatre teacher is something I've wanted to do for a long time, and for whatever reason never thought I'd be able to do it. Now, I know that if I work hard enough, I can reach my goal
Burger King had finally decided to give me more than four hours a week, but I'm still looking for a new job anyway. I just put in an application to Toys R Us, and my sources say that I might get called for an interview! I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I've been wrong about potential jobs in the past. Whatever happens, happens!
I have to thank the theatre group I am involved in for a lot of my good mood. I do tech work for a shadow cast of Repo! The Genetic Opera, and it's just amazing. Such a wonderful group of people. I recently was awarded a small role in the production, and once we get more tech I hope to move up to understudy some of the larger roles as well.
Anyway, just wanted to update my journal and say that things are not nearly as gloomy as they were.
